The Raise a Reader School Challenge, sponsored by the International Reading Association, Parents magazine, and Parents.com, is rewarding the school that reads the most this spring. Starting March 8, follow this link Click here for more information and register your child for the reading program. The program is totally free and records minutes, books read, and even has a print option if you'd like to track your little reader's achievements. Individual readers are also eligible to win $50 gift cards to Barnes and Noble.

PES Concession Stand New for 2009-2010
PES will have a concession stand this year to help offset the lack of funds from the state.  It will also hopefully provide a service to parents by providing nutritious, state approved snacks.  All snacks meet the nutrition requirements adopted by Alabama State Board of Education.  Parents may print off the order form or simply write your child’s name and the desired snack on notepaper.   All drinks and snacks are $.50.  It's very important that snack money be sent to school with your child and not brought in after school begins.  Teachers must have their money and order forms turned in by 8am to the snack personnel.

Thank you for supporting our school!

Whatever dismissal time is announced, we will dismiss 15 minutes earlier so that the high school and middle school can dismiss on time.

ATTENTION: All Parents and Visitors to PES
Please refrain from parking in the red “Fire Lane” that has been painted in front of the school and along the curbside of the Flagpole.  We are making this request in order to fulfill safety requirements for emergency personnel.  Should the need arise for their services, the parked cars would hinder response time.  If you are unable to find a lined parking space in the circle lot when visiting our school, we have ample parking on either of the side parking lots.  Thank you so much for your cooperation and continued support of Priceville Elementary School!

Volunteer Program
Our parents and community are vital to the success of our school!  We encourage parents, grandparents, and others to help in our school.  Should you wish to be included in our volunteer program, please contact Mrs. Sheila McAlpin, our ARI Reading Coach, at 341-9202.

Do You Have Questions?
Should you have questions or need additional information, please call the office at 341-9202.  We are here to help and want to make this a wonderful year for you and your child!
